About Me and My Blog
My name is Laura. I’m 28.
From this picture from a couple years ago, you learn a few things about me. I like candy apples (in moderation), I still have those sunglasses (my faves!), I love the Red Sox, and I have shiny hair.

I spent this summer (2009) at the Isabella Freedman Retreat Center on the Adamah Farming Fellowship. Following that happy time, I chose to stay at the retreat center and work in the kitchen (among other things) before I go to grad school. I’ve been accepted to the Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy for a MS in Agriculture, Food, and Environment. I’ll be attending Fall ’10.
This is a blog about my life here and all that it includes (Judaism, agriculture, food, the environment) and anything else that I am inspired to write about.
This (below) is me and my beautiful ADAMAH Summer ’09 cohort (minus O, plus Lauren and Mir) at the Hazon NY Ride this Labor Day weekend. This is one of our last moments together.

Barley
Barley is my adorable cat that now lives with my sister in Northampton. I miss him all the time.

Luckily, here at Freedman we have goats, chickens, and a cat named Baba.

Barley is doing well. He wrestles Mr. Do a couple of times a day, but I think it’s all in fun. The other day I saw Mr. Do lick Barley a couple of times!

Remember you from TEMV days and your blog was posted on their site. So cool. My husband had a dairy farm in the UP. This would appeal to him. Forwarding it to him and a friend of mine who is a rabbi teaching about nature and doing the Hazon ride in Israel this fall. Kol hakavod and stay healthy.!

Margaret, thank you so much! My website was in the TEMV newsletter? Sounds like the doings of my Mom….
Who is your rabbi friend?
Many thanks!
Laura
